I can just pull my car into the garage...dripping wet with water or snow and the edges collect the water as the car is melting. Very easy to vacuum up water with my Wet Dry Vac or just mop up.

(More customer reviews)Super product. Get Heavy Duty for places like Alaska. Caution who you get it from. Unfortunately, I initially ordered it on Amazon from the major distributor. My experience was unfortunate. The seller canceled the order on Amazon, ignored my phone calls & emails, but was happy to sell it to me from their website. The difference? About $5.00 more on their site & I wasn't able to use my Amazon certificates to defray the cost.
Well, after several weeks, I finally got the product & it's great. Did I have to go through that aggravation? The seller attempted to ruin my delight in the product. They ship all over the world-(Philippines, etc.), so why was Alaska such a big deal. AK is a FEDEX hub.
Update: 2.5 years later, it is holding up well & it is still in great shape. We put it away (fold it up) when the snow has gone & bring it out again as we winterize & prepare for the long snowy winter in Alaska. (Though so far not bad-temps to 37 last week!-so less snow.)
It keeps the garage nice & dry & keeps any car messy drippings in place.
Update: 4.13.11
The red edgings started cracking & falling apart. Cannot stand up to heavy use. You need those red edges to keep the flood waters out of your garage.

Clean Park Garage Mat - Special Edition 7.5'x18'Garage Mat Review

(More customer reviews)I've bought two of these now, a couple years apart, to protect my wood-floored garage from the Ick that comes in on my car in the winter in Maine. The first one was regular edition, much thinner, and didn't stand up well. The Special edition is well worth the extra money - this one is about to start it's third winter. The edging pieces don't last forever, but they needn't be perfectly undamaged to function well.
A few hints:
If it's cold when you assemble the mat, definitely get out the hair drier to warm up the mat edge before trying to snap the edge pieces on. Ideally, assemble before it all freezes up. I store mine in summer, off the floor so that the wood can breathe -- fold the mat as little as possible (ideally roll for storage), and allow to flatten in the warm sun a day or so before reassembling.
All in all, this product has worked well for me.

(More customer reviews)We purchased the clean park mat primarily to keep snow melt from our car from running all over the garage floor, and it does an excellent job. Due to the wrinkles left from packing the mat folded rather than rolled, it is a little difficult to clean off, but a soft floor squeegee works satisfactorily. This is the second mat we have purchased. The first mat provided satisfactory service for about seven years of daily traffic before having to be replaced.
