Initially I wanted taller edges as the edge only raise about 3/8", but after helping someone with an escape that had a tall edged mat i decided to keep this one. The tall edged mats are a pain if you are putting long things in the suv and have to put seats down. this lower edged one will catch small spills & debris but not be in the way when you have to put the seats down.
